As the Good Day Anchor at 8NewsNow, Joyce, an Emmy-winning anchor and 2017 Nevada Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame member, enjoys brightening people’s mornings. She’s worked in radio for almost 20 years and has always enjoyed being a member of the morning team. Learning about the different ways people give back to this beautiful town is one of her favorite aspects of living in Las Vegas and working at KLAS-TV. She features many non-profits in her weekly “Acts of Kindness” program, gaining inspiration from viewers who alert her to the many diverse ways individuals and groups are making our area a better place to live and raise a family. In “Get out and Go,” she had a terrific role that pushed her skills as a rock climber, ice fisher, dog musher, snowmobiler, and many other things to the test. She’s tried all there is to try.
She joined “3TV’s Arizona’s Family,” the country’s #1 Independent, in 2006 as an anchor/reporter, where she interviewed President Barack Obama, Sheriff Joe Arpaio, Senator John McCain, and Janet Napolitano.

She returned to Seattle four years later as an anchor/reporter for Seattle’s KCPQ-TV while pregnant to be closer to her family. She went on to work for KING-TV, Northwest Cable News, and Microsoft’s MSN as a freelancer. While spending time with family and friends was nice, her career would eventually drive her and her family back to Nevada, where she would gladly trade nine months of rain for sunshine.
