You may see her anchoring Weekend Newscasts at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. Alicia is thrilled and humbled to be a part of the Midlands’ top news team. She began her career in news as an intern at WLNS-TV in Lansing, Michigan. She also worked as a freelance reporter for Detroit’s WKBD-TV while working full-time in pharmaceutical sales and pursuing her MBA at Wayne State University. Alicia worked as a general assignment reporter for the NBC affiliate, WXIA-TV, in Atlanta, and as a freelance reporter for FOX 5. Alicia has reported on some of Georgia’s most devastating natural catastrophes. While at 11 Alive, she reported “Live” for CNN, MSNBC, and The Weather Channel.
Alicia left Atlanta to work as the Weekend Anchor for NBC 7 – KNSD and CW station KSWB-TV in San Diego, California. Prior to joining the WIS News Team, Alicia was the principal anchor at ABC Columbia from 2008 until 2018. She’s covered major topics in the Midlands that garnered national headlines, such as the 2015 floods, the removal of the Confederate flag from the State House, and the Charleston church shootings. Alicia has become an active part of the community and was one of five judges for the Miss South Carolina Pageant in 2012. She has also served on the boards of several organizations.
