He received four FBI Combat Theater awards for his work in crisis zones around the world.
He is well-known for covering breaking news events concerning national security issues,[8][9] as well as reporting on law enforcement topics both locally and overseas. He often contributes to CNN.com and has been published in The New York Times, The Washington Post, and USA Today, in addition to his on-air work.
