Hill joined Tech TV in San Francisco, where she was co-anchor and reporter for Tech Live, a 30-minute daily news magazine. Hill was on the air live when the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, began and anchored during the day, and events started to unfold. In addition, Hill was a writer for Tech TV News, reporting a wide range of technical reports. She has anchored and co-produced specials on a variety of subjects, including the controversy on embryonic stem cell science, the technologies behind the 2002 Winter Olympics, and the 2001 Oscars.
Hill started her journalistic career at PC Week, where she worked as a production assistant for PC Week Radio, the magazine’s online news radio station. She was also the moderator of the conference for the European App Publishers Association in Paris. Hill began her career at the old cable network ZDTV / TechTV as a production assistant and soon rose through the ranks to the producer before becoming an anchor and reporter for the network. Hill was a member of the NBC News team that received a Peabody Award in 2013 for the network’s cross-platform initiative “In Plain Sight: Poverty in America,” and the Alliance for Women in Media honored her in 2015.
