Pedram Javaheri is an award-winning Iranian-American meteorologist who is currently located at CNN World Headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, as the weather anchor for CNN International. He can be seen on CNN Newsroom and World Business Today on a regular basis. He also fills in for Robin Meade on HLN’s Morning Express and appears on CNN US during breaking news and severe weather coverage.

Javaheri has had the privilege of covering some of the world’s most devastating natural disasters throughout his career with CNN. He was also one of the first to record and cover one of the world’s most powerful earthquakes and disastrous tsunamis: a 9.1 magnitude quake off the coast of Japan that killed thousands.

Javaheri worked as a meteorologist and environmental correspondent in central California before joining CNN International in June 2010. He was nominated for a regional Emmy for exceptional work as a weather anchor while he was there. Prior to that, Javaheri was the chief meteorologist for a local station in Utah, where he was in charge of all-weather operations.
