J.R. Lewis KTVF-TV | Career
Lewis remembers when KTVF-TV and KFRB Radio (now KCBF, I believe) shared space in the Northward building downtown when he was a boy. He would sneak into the KTVF studio late at night and throw paper airplanes around, thinking that Augie Hiebert (the creator of KTVF) wouldn’t notice. His main experience has been in radio, which he chose when he was 14 years old and began working for his father at KAYY (now Magic 101.1). Since then, he’s worked at KAYY until 1992, and then at KLAM-AM in Cordova, which he and his wife purchased in 1994.
They kept KCDV-FM on the air in Cordova (would you believe Augie came down for the launch?? ), and we bought both stations in 1997.
