Dick Brennan is a well-known American television journalist who used to co-anchor the 6 p.m. newscast on WCBS-TV with Dana Tyler. He also shared the anchor desk for the 9 p.m. news on WLNY-TV, working alongside Alice Gainer, and has often stepped in as a fill-in anchor for CBS 2’s 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. broadcasts.
Before his time at CBS2, Brennan served as a political correspondent for WNYW (Fox 5 New York). Earlier in his career, he worked behind the scenes as a producer for radio host Bruce Williams, as well as for WWOR-TV and WNBC-TV. He eventually transitioned to on-air roles, anchoring and reporting at UPN-9 (now MY-9) before returning to WNYW as both an anchor and reporter.
Originally from Queens, Brennan graduated from Archbishop Molloy High School and later earned his degree from Fordham University in the Bronx. He lives in New York with his wife and their two daughters.
Beyond his journalism work, Brennan has also made guest appearances as himself on popular TV shows like 24 and Sex and the City.
