The Canadian was located in Toronto before relocating to the network’s Los Angeles bureau in 2015, where he hosted a number of CBC programming, including the Saturday broadcast of The National and CBC News Network. He began his career in 1997 as an anchor, producer, and reporter for CTV in both Ottawa and Halifax, where he hosted, produced, and reported on numerous breaking news stories, including the Swissair Flight 111 tragedy. Brunhuber worked as a senior trainer for the media development organization Journalists for Human Rights in Sierra Leone between his stints at CTV and the CBC. He covered human rights concerns with local media while he was there.
