Kathy Orr is a well-known American meteorologist She is now a part of the Fox 29 Weather Authority team on WTXF in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was also inducted into the Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia Hall of Fame in 2013. Orr joined KYW-TV as chief meteorologist in January 2003, making her debut on the same night as Marc Howard, who had previously worked as an anchor on WPVI, the ABC O&O in Philadelphia. She had previously served as a weekend meteorologist for WCAU-TV. When John Bolaris departed WCAU, she was offered the position of chief meteorologist, but she turned it down because KYW-TV offered her a higher salary. Glenn Schwartz eventually accepted the offer from WCAU.
