Jeff Phelps is a well-known American journalist who currently co-hosts the midday show on WKRK-FM (92.3 The Fan) in Cleveland. Before this, he made a name for himself in television as the pregame and postgame host for Cleveland Cavaliers games on Fox Sports Ohio, and he also covered the pregame and postgame segments for Cleveland Browns radio broadcasts.

Phelps kicked off his broadcasting journey in Akron at WAKR AM 1590 and WAKR-TV 23, where he started out as a sports reporter. He then spent five years as a sportscaster at KJAC in Beaumont, Texas.

In 1988, he joined WUAB Channel 43 in Cleveland, taking on the role of sports reporter and weekend sports anchor for the 10 O’Clock News. He later transitioned to WOIO Channel 19 when it became WUAB’s sister station, eventually rising to the position of weeknight sports anchor for both channels. His hard work paid off in 1994 when he was honored by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association as Ohio Sportscaster of the Year.

In 2003, Phelps made the move to Fox Sports Ohio, where he took on the role of pregame and postgame host for Cleveland Cavaliers broadcasts. By 2013, after the station became the flagship outlet for the Cleveland Browns, Phelps joined the Browns Radio Network game-day team, hosting both pregame and postgame shows.
