Zakaria was the editor of Newsweek International and a columnist for Newsweek from 2000 to 2010. Prior to joining Newsweek, Zakaria served as managing editor of Foreign Affairs, a renowned international political and economic newspaper, from 1992 until 2010. He’s served as an ABC News analyst, a member of George Stephanopoulos’ political affairs show This Week with ABC News’ roundtable and the host of PBS Foreign Exchange with Fareed Zakaria.

Dr. Zakaria currently contributes a weekly global affairs piece to the Washington Post, which is syndicated internationally. Since 2014, he has also been a contributing editor at The Atlantic. Dr. Zakaria was Time’s editor-at-large from 2010 to 2014. Prior to that, he oversaw all of Newsweek’s international editions for eight years.
