In February of 2012, she joined the NewsChannel 5 crew as a reporter. Emily is a proud Texan who adores her city of Dallas, fantastic Tex-Mex cuisine, and the Dallas Cowboys and Mavericks. However, after relocating to Nashville, she has developed a passion for the Titans and Predators, as well as a taste for southern cuisine.
Before arriving to Nashville, Emily worked as the primary evening reporter at WBRC-TV in Birmingham, Alabama. Over the course of her four years with the station, she secured stories ranging from dangerous tornadoes in April of 2011, to NASCAR events at Talladega, to University of Alabama football match-ups. She previously worked as a nightly anchor and producer at KFDX-TV in Wichita Falls, Texas. She also worked as an anchor, producer, and reporter for KOMU-TV in Columbia, Missouri. She went on to seek a career in journalism after graduating from the University of Missouri School of Journalism. Go, Tigers.
