Diez formerly served as an anchor and reporter for CBS/NBC station WRDW/WAGT in Augusta, Georgia, for five years. As the only live reporter on location during Category 5 Hurricane Michael in the Gulf of Mexico, she was a vital component of the broadcast that won the Emmy for Best Morning Newscast in 2018.
