Aditi Roy is a San Francisco-based Indian-American journalist. She has been a general assignment correspondent for CNBC since July 2016, stationed at the network’s San Francisco bureau, CNBC@1Market. Roy previously worked as a West Coast correspondent for ABC News, where he reported for all of the network’s broadcasts and platforms.

Before her time at CNBC, Roy was the West Coast correspondent for ABC News, where she contributed stories across all of the network’s broadcasts and platforms. During her tenure there, she reported on a wide array of topics, from consumer technology advancements and the Delphi self-driving car initiative to the 2013 Target data breach and significant severe weather events in the western United States.

Earlier in her career, Roy was an anchor for both the morning and evening newscasts at NBC10 in Philadelphia. While at NBC, she placed a strong emphasis on education reporting and also stepped in as a correspondent for NBC News, making appearances on shows like TODAY, NBC Nightly News, and MSNBC.

Roy kicked off her journalism journey as a reporter and photographer at KLKN-TV in Lincoln, Nebraska, before heading to KHQ-TV in Spokane, Washington. She joined NBC in 2002, where she continued to hone her skills in reporting and anchoring.

Over the years, her work has garnered considerable recognition, including eight Emmy nominations.
