Tej Lalvani is a British businessman and the CEO of Vitabiotics, the UK’s largest vitamin firm, which his father Kartar Lalvani started. From 2017 to 2021, he starred as one of the dragons on the BBC television series Dragons’ Den.

He began his career working in the warehouse of his father’s company, Vitabiotics, before succeeding his father as CEO. Lalvani and his wife run a property investment firm in London. TiE named Lalvani Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2013 and the Asian Business Awards named him Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2012. He was ranked 48th on the GG2 Power List of Britain’s most powerful Asians in October 2017. In November 2020, Lalvani was named to The Grocer’s NPD Power List. He was acknowledged for his commitment to and creativity in the UK supermarket business during the outbreak.

On a variety of social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Lalvani shares his business skills and experience. In 2020, he was named one of LinkedIn’s “Top UK Voices.” In November 2021, he was awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Westminster. In May 2022, the University of Westminster named Lalvani as a visiting professor at Westminster Business School. Lalvani succeeded Nick Jenkins as the next “dragon” on Dragons’ Den in 2017. In January 2021, Lalvani announced his departure from the show in order to focus on the expansion of his company. He began Series 18, which will be his final series, in the spring of 2021.
