Before taking on that role, Gross was the weekday evening meteorologist at Newsnet, located in Cadillac, Michigan. Earlier in his career, he spent nearly four years with Gray Television in Saginaw, Michigan, from December 2018 to November 2021.
Gross also got his start in broadcast meteorology as an intern at Central Michigan University, where he served as a weather forecaster from August 2015 to May 2018.
