Tim Drawbridge Career
Drawbridge began his career in late 1993 at WVNY in Burlington, Vermont. Tim was set for Central Kentucky and WLEX after a year. He spent three years forecasting the weather and handling the Bluegrass State’s severe weather problems. He was selected and appointed as a Kentucky Colonel by an officer from the prior National Weather Service Lexington office for his extreme weather participation. He was scheduled to appear on WSYM in Lansing, Michigan, where he kept running into Coach Tom Izzo at a reasonable starting position for his first public appearance at a charity softball game.
Tim moved to WZVN in Fort Myers, Florida, in early 2002 to enjoy the sunlight while dealing with the complex issues of sea wind fronts and tropical meteorology. Tim returned to the Capital Region in September 2003 after working for Capital News 9 (now Time Warner Cable / Spectrum News) and YNN (now Time Warner Cable / Spectrum News). Prior to joining NEWS10, he was known as the “weekend warrior” at WNYT, where he worked double shifts on weekends for numerous years. On FOX Sports 1230, Tim had the opportunity to “call” a number of high school football games alongside Rick Harrington. During the 2013 and 2014 seasons, Tim and Rick accompanied the Queensbury Spartans to The Dome in pursuit of their State Championships.
