Neil worked at a family radio station in Mid-Coast Maine for a number of years before joining News 2. As a third-generation broadcaster, he was exposed to and learned about the inner workings of a television newsroom at a young age. Over the years, he has contributed to coverage of big stories and weather disasters, including over 17 hours on the air on the day of the April 1998 tornado outbreak in Tennessee.
