Zac Efron Jaw: What Happened?
Back in 2013, Zac Efron faced a pretty serious accident at home that left him with a broken or severely injured jaw. In an interview with Men’s Health, he shared that he slipped while running inside and ended up hitting his chin on the sharp edge of a granite fountain.
The injury was no joke; it required him to seek medical treatment and go through physical therapy to recover.
During his healing process, Efron noticed that his masseter muscles—those are the ones that help with chewing and are located around the jaw—became quite enlarged. He mentioned that they “got really, really big,” which contributed to the broader look of his lower face.
He even revealed that the accident was so severe that he “almost died.”
This context is crucial when looking at photos of Efron from before and after the injury, as many people online have mistakenly claimed that the changes in his jaw are evidence of cosmetic surgery.
Zac Efron Plastic Surgeries
There have been ongoing whispers online suggesting that Zac Efron has had plastic surgery, especially after noticeable changes in his facial features.
However, there’s no solid proof that Efron actually went under the knife to alter his jawline. He himself has addressed these rumors, explaining that the changes stem from a jaw injury he sustained in 2013, which led to the enlargement of his masseter muscles.
In simpler terms, it’s crucial to differentiate between medical treatment following a serious injury and choosing to undergo cosmetic surgery for aesthetic reasons.
The speculation really picked up steam in 2021 when photos of Efron’s face started making the rounds on the internet. He later clarified the situation during a 2022 interview with Men’s Health.
So, any claims asserting that Zac Efron has had cosmetic facial surgery should be approached with caution unless they come directly from him or are backed by credible medical evidence.
