Leslie Spoon is an American journalist who works at WWL as an anchor/reporter from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and as a co-anchor for the eyewitness Morning News from 4:30 a.m. to 6 a.m. She spent two and a half years with the WWL sports crew before joining the morning news anchor team in September 2018.

Spoon joined WWL in 2015 as an anchor/reporter for Eyewitness Sports. She moved from working nights and weekends with sports to the highly-rated Eyewitness Morning News as the co-anchor of the 4:30 a.m. to 6 a.m. hours and as an anchor/reporter from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. after two and a half years. Her first employment was as a weekend sports anchor/reporter for KTBS, where she worked for nearly four years after a brief spell in public relations. She subsequently moved to Green Bay, Wisconsin, to work at WFRV as a weekend sports anchor/reporter. Leslie acquired excellent experience as a CBS Sports Network affiliate reporter, reporting on the Packers on “That Other Pregame Show” every week. She covered every game, the NFL combine, and the Packers’ NFL Hall of Fame Inductions in Canton as a CBS Packers correspondent. The Wisconsin Badgers’ path to the NCAA Final Four was also covered by Spoon.
Leslie was an LHSAA all-state basketball player at Benton High School (near Bossier City) before going on to Georgia Southern University to play NCAA basketball. She realized that the best way to continue active in sports after college was to work in broadcasting. After working in public relations for a short time., Leslie was hired by KTBS, where she served as the weekend sports anchor/reporter for four years.

Leslie traded her flip-flops for snow boots and moved to Green Bay, Wisconsin, to work at WFRV as a weekend sports anchor/reporter. Leslie worked as an affiliate reporter for CBS Sports Network, delivering weekly Packer updates on “That Other Pregame Show” in addition to her duties on the newscast. As the station’s devoted Packers correspondent, Leslie covered every game, the NFL combine, and the Packers’ NFL Hall of Fame Inductions in Canton.
