Kim Brunhuber ( born Kim Barry Brunhuber) is a Canadian journalist and writer who presently works as an anchor for CNN International in Atlanta, where she anchors CNN Newsroom’s Europe morning editions on Saturday and Sunday, as well as weekday news programs. He previously worked for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation as an anchor and reporter, including on the flagship news program The National and the CBC News Network.

Brunhuber spent 13 years at CBC News, working as a correspondent and anchor. The Canadian was located in Toronto before relocating to the network’s Los Angeles bureau in 2015, where he hosted a number of CBC programming, including the Saturday broadcast of The National and CBC News Network. He began his career in 1997 as an anchor, producer, and reporter for CTV in both Ottawa and Halifax, where he hosted, produced, and reported on numerous breaking news stories, including the Swissair Flight 111 tragedy. Brunhuber worked as a senior trainer for the media development organization Journalists for Human Rights in Sierra Leone between his stints at CTV and the CBC. He covered human rights concerns with local media while he was there.

He then spent the next several years working as a freelance correspondent and producer, filing news reports, live commentary, and mini-documentaries from around the world, including countries such as Pakistan, Mali, Ghana, and Afghanistan. He is a published author.
