Harris Faulkner ( born Harris Kimberley Faulkner) is a multi-Emmy award-winning journalist who co-anchors Outnumbered (weekdays, 12-1PM/ET) and serves as a newscaster for two daily daytime programs – The Faulkner Focus (weekdays, 11AM-12PM/ET) and The Faulkner Focus (weekdays, 11AM-12PM/ET) for Fox News Channel. She joined the news team in 2005. She is most recognized for winning six Emmy Awards for her work in broadcasting, including the Best Newscaster and Best News Special Emmys in 2004. In 2003, Faulkner won the National Headliner Award for Best Newscast for her coverage of Senator Paul Wellstone’s catastrophic plane crash.

Faulkner began her television career as an intern at KCOP-TV in Los Angeles, where she performed minor duties, before moving to Greenville, North Carolina, to work as a reporter and anchor at WNCT-TV. Faulkner worked as an evening anchor for WDAF-TV in Kansas City from 1992 to 2000. Faulkner was harassed and stalked in Kansas City by an old acquaintance who had followed her from North Carolina. Faulkner’s next assignment was as part of an evening anchor team at KSTP-TV in Minneapolis–Saint Paul. In July 2004, she resigned from the station. In 2005, Faulkner joined Fox News. She worked as a correspondent for A Current Affair from its relaunch in 2005 till its discontinuation in October 2005.

Faulkner is a motivational speaker, writer, and philanthropist in addition to her career as a journalist. Faulkner is involved with the Green Beret Foundation, which provides medical, transition, and family support for those who have served in the United States Army Special Forces, and the Navy Seal Foundation, which provides immediate and ongoing support and assistance to the Naval Special Warfare community and its families, after growing up as a “military brat.” Faulkner also works with the Susan G. Komen Foundation, the Avon Foundation for Women, and the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation to raise awareness and cash for breast cancer research. Faulkner was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Literature in 1998.
