Frances Rivera is a talented Filipino-American journalist and television news anchor, widely recognized for her contributions to NBC News and MSNBC. She’s currently the co-anchor of Early Today, NBC’s overnight news program, a position she’s held since 2017.

After finishing college, Rivera made her way back to the U.S. and kicked off her journalism career at CBS Morning News in New York City. She gained valuable experience at CBS affiliate KWTV in Oklahoma City and NBC affiliate KFDX in Wichita Falls, Texas. Beyond her on-air reporting, she also worked behind the scenes for CBS News on The Morning Show and played a role in covering the 1996 U.S. presidential campaign. Additionally, Rivera co-hosted and reported for the PBS program Asian America.
