Chris Holcomb is an award-winning Chief Meteorologist on Atlanta, Georgia’s 11Alive. Chris has worked at 11Alive for over 24 years as a meteorologist. He is the only meteorologist in Atlanta who was born and raised there. From Monday to Friday at 5, 6, 10, and 11 p.m., Chris can be seen on 11Alive, The ATL, and whenever storms strike at 5, 6, 10, and 11 p.m.

Holcomb is an Atlanta-based journalist who works as a chief meteorologist for WXIA/WATL. He joined the 11Alive team in 1991. On 11Alive, Chris is the Chief Meteorologist. For more than 24 years, he has worked as a meteorologist at 11Alive. The American Meteorological Society upgraded Chris to “Certified Broadcast Meteorologist” status in 2007. Since 1997, he had held the AMS Seal of Approval. He began his career as a reporter at WMAZ-TV in Macon, Georgia, where he also forecasted weather on weekends.
He is Atlanta’s only native-born and bred television meteorologist. As a native Atlantan and lifelong Georgia resident, Chris has witnessed a wide range of unusual Georgia weather, including blizzards, ice storms, hurricanes, floods, and tornadoes. Chris is on Monday through Friday at 5, 6, 10, and 11 p.m.
He also serves on the Board of Directors of the South-eastern Brain Tumour Foundation. His first race was in memory of his sister, who passed away from a brain tumor. Chris attends several Atlanta events, including the Keep Georgia Beautiful Awards and St. Jude’s Southern Evening of Hope.
