He was chosen as a lead studio commentator for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia this summer, giving in-depth commentary from FOX Sports’ cutting-edge studio in Moscow’s historic Red Square. Lalas is most remembered for his performance as an outstanding defender on the United States Men’s National Team (US MNT) during the 1994 World Cup. He was also a member of the 1992 U.S. Olympic Team and the 1998 World Cup squad.
