Laurie Dhue is a well-known American television journalist, recognized for her role as an anchor on the Fox News Channel from 2000 to 2008. During her time there, she hosted Fox Report Weekend and contributed to various programs like Geraldo at Large, while also making regular appearances on shows such as The O’Reilly Factor and On the Record with Greta Van Susteren.

Born in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Dhue grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. She’s the daughter of Hutton Dhue and Bob Dhue, who was a former executive at World Championship Wrestling. Dhue earned her Bachelor of Arts in political science, focusing on dramatic arts, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Before her stint at Fox News, Dhue was with MSNBC, where she anchored Newsfront and later hosted Special Edition. Prior to that, she spent almost ten years at CNN (1990–1999), anchoring weekend shows like CNN Saturday, CNN Sunday, World View, and The World Today.

At the start of her career, Dhue interned at WSB-TV in Atlanta and occasionally contributed to NBC’s Today show. While at Fox News, she also lent her voice to the launch of Fox News Radio in 2004 and anchored evening radio updates for several years.
