Pagliarulo began his radio career in 1989 in Palm Beach County, Florida, and went on to work primarily in television news, serving in a variety of roles, including the main anchor at WEYI-TV in Saginaw/Flint, Michigan (1994–1996), morning and noon anchor at WWMT in Kalamazoo/Grand Rapids, Michigan (1996–1997), main anchor, managing editor, and eventually news director at WLAJ in Lansing/Jackson, Michigan (1997–2002 He also had discussion shows at WHAM in Rochester, New York, and WXDX (now WDTW) in Detroit, Michigan, during and after his time at WRGB. Pagliarulo made the switch to talk radio and started his daily show on iHeartMedia’s flagship talk radio station, WOAI 1200 in San Antonio.
For nearly a year, Pagliarulo’s daily show, The Joe Pags Show, was broadcast to the 130 America Now affiliates until a full-time substitute host was found. Pagliarulo’s show began its own syndication through Compass Media Networks when America Now fill-in period ended, and as of May 2017, it could be heard on over 90 stations. His daily show airs live from 6 to 9 p.m. EST in some of his syndicated markets and on tape delay in others. He also hosted The Weekend with Joe Pags, a nationally syndicated radio talk show for Premiere Networks, which he stepped down from in 2022.
Pagliarulo has made numerous appearances on Fox News, CNN, and MSNBC, and has previously filled in for Glenn Beck on his television and radio shows. He has received many Associated Press broadcasting honors, and his show is ranked in the top 25 of Talkers Magazine’s “Heavy Hundred,” as well as being designated one of the most prominent talk shows in the country by Newsmax.
