Donna moved to Little Rock after working as an anchor in Detroit for WKBD-TV and WWJ-TV. She worked for WKYC-TV in Cleveland before moving to Detroit. She’s also worked as an anchor and reporter in South Bend, Indiana, and Battle Creek, Michigan. Donna has received numerous awards. For her work as a news anchor and a commercial campaign for Fox16 News, she recently received Regional Emmy Awards. For her special reports on Grieving a Child, she also received the National American Legion’s Fourth Estate Award and an Associated Press Award. For her work to raise awareness about cosmetic surgery and breast cancer, she was nominated for two more Emmys.
The charity also provides funding for liquid nutritional supplements to colon cancer patients and other cancer survivors who are undergoing treatment and require financial assistance. Yoga Warriors is named after her daughter Queah, who died at a young age from colon cancer but found yoga to be beneficial to her health during her battle. Every year, the organization hosts at least one free community-wide yoga fundraising event. Donna also serves on the board of directors of Women and Children First, a domestic violence shelter. She has been on the boards of directors of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and Ronald McDonald House Charities. She has also served as an American Cancer Society ambassador.
Donna enjoys being active, and her favorite sport is golf. She’ll be trying to pull her ball out of a sand trap on any given day. Vladimir, her Russian Blue rescue cat, is her favorite.
